Is your Child eligible for $1000 worth of dental care from the Child Dental Benefits Schedule?

The government had previously announced its intention to halt the nation-wide Child Dental Benefits Schedule by 1 July 2016. Although, at present, it remains available and is unclear how much longer it will be operational for.

The great thing for parents is that the program provides dental treatments and procedures for children, Including:

• Routine dental checks
• Cleans
• X-rays
• Fissure sealing
• Root canal; and
• Extractions

All of which are covered completely with no out-of-pocket expense at Dentists on the Gold Coast.

To claim the Child Dental Benefits Schedule at our clinic, all you have to do is present your Medicare card, to one of our team and we’ll take care of the claim and payment processing on your behalf. This means you won’t have to submit a claim or be out-of-pocket on the day of your child’s dental appointment.

If you are unsure of your balance on your Child’s Medicare account, that is no problem at all. At Dentists on the Gold Coast, if you call our team on 5531 2053 with your Medicare details, we can make it even easier and contact Medicare on your behalf to find out the remaining balance.

If your child is eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS), you may wish to book an appointment with us while it remains operational. The CDBS is a means-tested benefits program. To be eligible, your child must be aged 2- 17. Your child’s eligibility will be assessed at the beginning of each calendar year.
